A Chair with Wings

No, seriously. The Lyx Wing Lounge Chair was designed with materials used by NASA in its spacecrafts. It looks modern, feels modern, probably sets you back a couple grand, but it's not as comfortable as a Jennifer Convertibles sofabed -- or what do you think?

The Incredible Carpet Sofa

This is not as comfortable as a Jennifer Convertibles sofa by any means, but check out this crazy carpet sofa designed by Maad:

You'd stop there, though. I don't think it's equivalent to any of the Jennifer Convertible sofabeds.

Jennifer Convertibles Shows You How to Recycle Your Computer

Here's another Jennifer Convertibles crazy couch!

mac_couch.jpg

Got a bunch of old computers sitting around? Turn it into a couch like this Mac II couch (which can't possibly be as comfy as the Jennifer Furniture sofabeds). Or do something more beneficial: donate it to someone who needs it.

Got any more crazy couch pictures? Add it to the comments!

Nonflammable Furniture? It's Possible.

fire_candle.jpgIn the next few years, all home furnishings may be completely nonflammable. The Associated Press reports that the Consumer Product Safety Commission is looking to fast-track a proposal that would require all consumer upholstered furniture to be smolder and flame-resistant. Apparently, this has been a proposal that has been on the table for 10 years.

The move can save lives. Upholstered furniture fires cost the US $1.6 billion yearly and is responsible for 100 deaths and 130 injuries per year. Hopefully, we at Jennifer Convertibles will see this move sooner rather than later.

By the way, this was not what they had in mind (and we recommend that you not try this at home):

The Newest Crazy Bookshelf (and a Dresser Too)

A few weeks back, we wrote about some really awesome bookshelves that will complement Jennifer Convertibles sofas just fine.

Today, we discovered this even more eclectic bookshelf.

This is a design by the German Studio Proxy company. All I have to say is "wow."

They also have this awesome dresser.

Would you buy one? I think that the uniqueness is certainly a conversation starter. Don't you?
